Doug Lipps- Bass Guitar

Born 1960- Saint Louis Mo. Lives in Ocala Florida

Doug Lipps started playing Bass at the age of 14 listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd, YES, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Outlaws ect… He played for the Lakewood High and Northeast High School stage bands(both in Pinellas County Fla.)
He played in some of Tampa Bay’s best bands, such as : Southern Snow Band / Snow Band (co-founder), Diamond Gray (original Bass player), Cheeky Monkey, Drive Band and many more.
He has toured all over the east coast of America, From Key West to New York City and all points in-between. He has recorded in many well known studios such as Chung King Studios (NY NY), Crawford’s studios (NJ) Panda Studios (Clw Florida), Ect…

Doug Lipps brings over 40 years of Bass playing experience to the stage every time he plays and it shows. He is now very happy to be a member of the Tommy Roxx Band and the Nuthin Fancy Band, Getting back to his Southern Rock roots. “It is a privilege to be able to emulate the Bass playing of Leon Wilkinson, the original Bass Player for Lynyrd Skynyrd and one of the best and most underrated Bass Players of all time”.

Doug plays through a Harke Bass rig. Plays a Fender PJ Elite Bass and a Gibson Thunderbird Bass.
